The official category is Residence permit for an entrepreneur (Finnish: Yrittäjän oleskelulupa). ‘Investor residence permit’ is not a separate Finnish permit category. Owning a company is insufficient: you must work in it in Finland, the business must be profitable and its income must secure your means of support.
We do not accept remote investors. This model is intended for candidates who plan to move to Finland after a permit is granted and actively manage their own operation. Retroo Company provides the brand, training, products, supply and operating standards as master franchisor.

The operating model, agreements, financial data and working-capital needs are reviewed.
- 03Company and management structure
Ownership, voting rights and genuine management responsibilities are documented.
- 04Permit file
The business plan, forecasts and financing documents are organised from genuine records. A first residence-permit application is normally submitted from outside Finland.
- 05Official assessment
The competent Economic Development Centre and Migri assess the file within their statutory roles.
- 06First steps in Finland
Housing, registrations, family, school and the operational start are coordinated after approval.

01Is this a passive-investment programme?+
No. It is intended for entrepreneurs who will work in and actively manage their own company in Finland.
02Does buying a company or mobile kitchen secure a permit?+
No. A purchase or investment is commercial activity, not a residence permit. The business, your active role, means of support and all general permit requirements are assessed independently.
03Are Retroo Company and Girişimci Göçmen separate companies?+
No. They are brands of GG Ventures Oy. Retroo supports the commercial operation and our team coordinates the business, permit-preparation and settlement work.
04Who decides the application?+
The competent Economic Development Centre assesses the business conditions and Migri makes the final residence-permit decision. Migri may refuse an application without a partial decision if the general requirements are not met. No adviser or investor can guarantee the result.
